In this new adventure series for young readers by Alain Surget we meet Louise Bheag and Benjamin who, after the death of their mother, are sent to an orphanage in Paris. Louise Bheag is an unruly girl; she prefers the sword to the darning needle. And Benjamin is no soldier; he prefers books and sea charts. Together, they decide to run away from the orphanage and to go to sea in search of their father,  the infamous pirate Captain Roc — knowing only that he is the captain of a ship away at sea. Together, they must overcome all dangers — pirates, English warships, sharks and all kinds of rogues!

 

Bratach na gCnámh 1: Éalú as Páras Louise Bheag and Benjamin escape from the orphanage and head for the coast. There, they meet the infamous Black Beard, and another pirate who tells them that their father is alive, but in danger. Unexpectedly, the pair are brought aboard a ship at night, and with that they begin their adventures on the seas.
